The seven graces

so important to practice the seven graces: fortitude or strength to sustain faith, to endure what is sent our way by our karmic journey through life. So difficult it is to maintain reverence and piety when faced with obstacles, whether physical or emotional, which prevent us from being grateful for life.
The four mental graces of knowledge, understanding, wisdom and counsel are steps to discovering truth by intuition and to choose actions which are steeped in humility and fear of God.
Whatever order we choose to list the graces we can see that they all encompass virtues or positive choices of action.
Graces are gifts of the Holy Spirit, the third aspect of the Holy Divine Trinity, that aspect of God which activates life, which upholds the Breath, which animates our physical body. We sometimes confuse soul with spirit and use those words interchangeably. That’s not what’s most important.
What is most important is to hold reverence for all living beings, with gratitude moving through life with generosity, having fortitude to sustain faith, using humility and fear of God to help us discern where the truth lies in knowledge, leading to intuitive understanding and wisdom. Only then are we able to counsel others.
