heaven and hell can co-exist but not in the same person. Both are states of consciousness which resonate with thoughts, emotions, and soul. I can witness you in hell without having to join you. You can witness my heaven and yearn to join me. The journey is simple, Jesus showed the way: leave everything you have and follow me.
He was pointing to detachment, impermanence, and emptiness. The way of the buddha 500 years before him.
Buddha showed the way with wisdom, the four noble truths and eight-fold path,, Christ showed the way with compassion and love, the simple commandment to love your neighbour like yourself. Heaven begins with generosity and charity, hell begins with seflishness and egoism. We choose with every thought, emotion, and action.
Buddha chose wisdom as the path because he believed that human nature was inquisitive and yearning for learning the path to freedom from suffering so he begins with describing the nature of suffering and how to escape it.
Christ believed and knew that Humans are simple minded, have heart and charity and if shown the difference between hatred and love would choose love. He had faith in the individual finding their way home back to their Divine true nature even in the land of suffering.
Both possessed the way and each achieved liberation, Buddha through enlightenment and Christ through Ascension.
