We can aspire to be more than water droplets in the ocean, than grains of sand on the beach, than thought forms in physical bodies. yet that’s what we are, imbued with a soulful presence and consciousness which is eternal and liberated should we allow ourselves to transcend our controlling egoic mind. Should we achieve to surpass our personal identity, cultural conditioning, and mental and emotional constructs, only then will we be able to embrace the impermanence, inter-connectedness, and emptiness of our beings.
To think that it’s that simple- enlightenment- freedom from cravings, attachments, like identity, like personhood, like mind.
Ram Dass in his humour-filled way states it succinctly: it’s easy to be enlightened until you spend a day with my family. lol
It’s so easy to get re-attached to our cultural conditioning, ideological baggage, and limiting beliefs when in the presence of a mirror.
It’s only when all that which was inside of us becomes only outside of us that the mirror stops reflecting back to us something which we are no longer.
then we’re truly free, liberated, enlightened; happy, joyful, blissful, that’s ananda. That’s the prize at the end of the ride. After the ride of many thousands of incarnations, each one providing a little more light, intelligence, wisdom, and love to achieve freedom and liberation. We were slaves, we are no longer. That’s evolution. That’s progress. When enough of us realize this simple truth we will have heaven on earth. It’s that simple.
ps: it’s not evident to me that enough people believe this to reach that critical mass point where we can create heaven on earth for everyone. However the Hierarchy has put off the Apocalypse because its directors believe enough in Humanity’s capacity for love that we will reach this tipping point soon, before we destroy our planet and lose our chance to achieve heaven on earth. What’s necessary is for more people to make the effort to achieve enlightenment and to share the hope and trust that it is coming for all.
