Healing and Gratitude

Healing occurs throughout our lives when we reach a state of imbalance: a crisis occurs which we call a ‘disease’ or ‘illness’. This is really an opportunity to reflect, change something about our lifestyle, and re-establish a new balance or homeostasis within our selves to continue our journey with more peace and joy. It may require a change of attitude, beliefs, or values.

We sometimes get lost on our journey thinking that happiness resides in ephemeral material accumulations and brief moments of glamor and fame. This tendency is accelerated during festive times such as Christmas. It is important to remember the essence of these times: to become more aware of our abundance and prosperity and to share it with those less blessed.

The importance is to maintain our focus on building positive karma through service, creating positive consequences through generosity, being aware of the cycle of change that during moments of prosperity we need to share our wealth and make savings so that during times of want or absence of wealth we have reserves on which to draw.

Healing occurs when the mind is in harmony with the heart, soul, and body. Mind controls thoughts and emotions and body functions which are not autonomous.
We can influence our state of health by maintaining wholesome thoughts, emotions, and actions.

The greatest source of joy comes from the awareness that we are not alone, that we are all inter-connected through our ‘essence’ and ‘beingness’. We are all souls having existence in a physical body for a limited time until we return to the astral plane to ponder on the effect of our past life.

Let’s remember that we need to be grateful for having incarnated into a Human being, for having the desire to seek spiritual awareness and enlightenment, and thirdly, for having a Teacher or Guru who can show us the way on our path towards spiritual evolution and the raising of our energetic vibration towards that of nirvana or bliss.

These are the three greatest gifts which we can possess and acknowledge and be grateful.

Blessed be the Creator, the creative essence or yang, and the substantive form or yin.
With life force and form or substance we are energy and matter, combined in human being, for a short time. Let’s not waste one second on ‘ego’ gratification. Life is too short to journey blind and deaf. Let’s see the light and hear the word which brings liberation and direction that guides the mind and soul towards the light of clarity and illumination.
