How do we define ourselves? by our age, our sex, our job, our car, our house, our friends, these are all aspects of who we are and who others say we are.
However, we rarely identify ourselves by our states of being: peaceful, joyful, wealthy, prosperous, generous, humble, caring, passionate, educated, creative, spontaneous, successful. These are much too often left for obituaries and death notices.
Few ever identify themselves by their state of consciousness and frequency vibration: how often do we check in to our inner being and verify whether we are living at a low frequency of shame, doubt, guilt, or fear, or whether we’re raising our vibration to courage, faith, hope, and love, towards enlightenment and bliss.
When we meditate and realize that we are not the body, mind, thoughts, emotions, but are the soul we can achieve a state of soul expansion beyond the galaxies and experience a greater emptiness than state of being. At this point our identity is limitless, infinite, and eternal. We are not God, in its omnipotent and omniscient state but we can approach communion with God as closely as is possible in the human body.
The problem which exists is that ego, mind and body get in the way of this expansion of consciousness. Forging a life of purification, service, and tithing will ensure that we accelerate our path towards Divine integration and unity. From Self to Non-Self, from me-ness to One-ness, is the path of those who wish to evolve more quickly and become more peaceful, joyful, free, and fulfilled. This is the path of those who wish to reduce or eliminate pain and suffering in future lives, or to avoid future incarnations, all together, to become close to the causal essence which we euphemistically call God: the mysterious and infinite One that is all that is.
Blessings, and Namaste atma.
