Shortest day of the year 2011

People who snowmobile, who ski or snowboard are not happy with staying in southern Manitoba because this year there is no snow. People who sell snowmobiles, skis and snowboards are also sad and disappointed in sales because there is no snow.

Most people who drive or cycle around are happy because the streets are dry and relatively snow and ice free. MPI is happy because there are much fewer accidents due to poor weather.

Today is the shortest day of the year, in the north the darkest day, in antartica: the longest day.

Somewhere there is always someone who has it better or worse than us. So how does that determine whether we’re happy or sad? It is up to us to determine whether we will be be happy or sad.

What will be our choice today? Just think of how we can transform our world if we were to smile at everyone we meet today and say: “Happy Solstice”.

Let’s make it happy and give gratitude for all that we have, and be compassionate for all those who have less.

Today is a time to change our perception away from ourselves and towards all those who are powerless, living in the dark, and lacking intelligence to find better options.

Let light, love, and power restore the Plan on earth.
